When the objective is profit - society and the environment get left out of the picture. Negative implications happen to the environment and to society. Our goal is to change this, a very small part of this.

We are changing the way in which we prepare tea, through serving loose leaf tea we eliminate an unnecessary packaging stage in distribution which creates significant pollutants that are harmful to the environment. At the same time the process of bagging tea changes the product that is being consumed. You must consider that these bags are bleached (unless otherwise stated) with harmful chemicals. Combining harmful chemicals in products being consumed is not a health conscience process. Through eliminating the bagging process we eliminate the use of harmful chemicals being used in what we consume. As well, we must consider that tea bags are sealed with PVC plastic which when exposed to heat releases dioxins. Dioxins have been proven that over prolonged use can inhibit the growth of cancer.

If you think about it tea bags are primarily present in the North American markets, what is ironic about this is we hold the majority of worlds fresh water supply. If we dump tea down the drain in essence we are dumping toxic chemicals into our waterways, which over time could create adverse health effects. Has anyone noticed an increase in the amount of cancer cases over the past couple of decades - could tea bags be behind this?

We are also changing the process of blending teas with cheaper substitutes in order to reduce costs and increase profits. Teas that are blended with cheaper substitutes do not possess the same health benefits that fresh loose leaf teas withhold. Our products are loose leaf and not blended with low quality substitutes. In this way the health benefits are present and can be enjoyed by all. Instead of being something people hear about but can never experience.

We are also changing the packaging from non biodegradable packaging to a corn plastic which is biodegradable and environmentally friendly.
